From Dreams to Art: Creating Theatre and Performance Art
A workshop entitled From Dreams to Art: Creating Theatre and Performance Art will be held at Wisdom House Retreat and Conference Center on Saturday, October 4. Leading the workshop will be Cady McClain, actress, singer, songwriter, painter and poet.
A workshop entitled “From Dreams to Art: Creating Theatre and Performance Art” will be held at Wisdom House Retreat and Conference Center on Saturday, October 4th from 9:30 am to 3:30 pm.
Participants will join a collaborative experience of acting and saying “Yes” to the creative process. They will use guided imagery, journaling, and basic theatrical structure to create stories of their experiences. All will be part of a staged reading at the end of the workshop.
Leading the workshop will be Cady McClain, actress, singer, songwriter, painter and poet. She is a two-time Emmy Award winner for her acting on All My Children and As the World Turns. She recently appeared in two independent films and released her debut CD, BlueGlitterFish. Her website is www.cadymcclain.com.
The fee is $35 including lunch.
