Marjorie Lindholm and Peggy Lindholm, authors of A Columbine Survivor's Story, have opened a Counseling Center in the Southwest Denver Area. 1st Step Counseling, Inc is ADAD approved and specializes in Domestic Violence / Anger Management Counseling as well as Court Ordered DUI or Drug and Alcohol Counseling. 1st Step Counseling, Inc. offers Monitored Sobriety 7 days a week and very affordable prices with no intake fee for transfer clients. 1st Step Counseling, Inc. also offers EMDR Therapy which is well know for being especially effective in dealing with PTSD or Post Traumatic Stress Disorder. Peggy Lindholm and Marjorie Lindholm hope that the beautifully unique and relaxing setting of their offices, complete with wall sized murals featuring beach, mountain, and waterfall scenes create an open and serene environment for all of their clients. 1st Step Counseling is conveniently located just 1 block north of Hampden Ave (HWY 285) on Federal Blvd. Monitored Sobriety Hours are Monday thru Friday 8:00am - 6:00pm, Saturday and Sunday 10:00 am - 3:00 pm. In addition, they offer night and weekend counseling sessions. All counselors are carefully screened in order to provide the best experience possible. In addition to facilitating Domestic Violence, Anger Management, Drug and Alcohol, DUI, SSC, and Relapse Prevention Classes, Peggy Lindholm is also a Domestic Violence Supervisor for other Domestic Violence Providers.
