Cats in Hats for a cause!
Recently, three Houston cats (and two dogs!) travelled through Ireland wearing hats to raise money for animal shelters. Pampered Whiskers captured this phenomenon on film and released pictures in a 2009 wall calendar.
Pampered Whiskers 2009 wall calendar chronicles the adventures of three cats and two dogs as they travel through Ireland. This calendar, entitled Pampered Whiskers Emerald Isle Adventure was born out of a need seen locally, with 85,000+ unwanted animals being euthanized in Houston, TX alone each year. Now more than ever, animal shelters are stretched to the limit having taking in hundreds of displaced animals in the wake of Hurricanes Ike and Gustav. Between now and December 31st , Pampered Whiskers is donating $3 from every calendar sold on its website www.pamperedwhiskers.com to support a handful of animal shelters.
