“A Week With My Father” premiered on April 16, 2009 at www.aweekwithmyfather.com where each week viewers can view new webisodes of the show each week. An alternative reality show created by Giacomo Knox, featuring the reunions of absent fathers with their abandoned son(s).
The first webisode features Giacomo, a 39 year old African-American man reuniting with his father James Knox. Giacomo had not seen his father in 33 years. The estranged men will hang out for one week, enjoying targeted activities that will help them get to know each other and hopefully bring about forgiveness, reconciliation and the start of a new relationship. The show will inform the viewing audience of the extent of the problem and help them understand the personal hardships (in some cases) both fathers and sons have endured as a result of being separated from one another. Eventually, every father featured on the show, like James, must answer the tough questions their abandoned sons have longed for years to ask.
The web series has already been highly praised by Tube Filter News on April 21, 2009 as a must see series. The show was also featured in an article by the Glendale News-Press/Los Angeles Times on April 24, 2009.
