Simple, Elegant and Sophisticated - Art of Alicia Schmidt & James Hixson

The paintings of Alicia Schmidt and the sculpture of James Hixson will be exhibited at BIG ARTS Founders Gallery Wednesday, January 5 through Saturday, January 29. Artists Reception is Saturday, January 15, from 5 to 6:30 p.m.
Alicia Schmidt is known primarily as a minimalist abstract painter. She works in deep saturations of color and creates sparsely designed compositions.
Using local wood from trees damaged in storms, sculptor James Hixson “makes sculptures to express the unseen beauty of the human figure.”
Founders Gallery hours are Monday through Saturday 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
