The famous Nashville record Producer Robert Metzgar, filed for bankruptcy as a ploy to try to evade prosecution for Criminal Fraud by several of his clients. The authorities have been building a case against the elusive Metzgar for some time and have recently acquired enough evidence to put him away for a very long time. Metzgar is quoted saying, "I have retained the protection of the United States Bankruptcy Court in Davidson Country for a chapter 11 bankruptcy". He is also quoted saying, "On Friday (tomorrow) , bankruptcy attorney Steven L Lefkovitz will file a bankruptcy petition that will ask the Federal court to take charge of all the assets of the record label, the masters and the funds that I gave Paul Jackson". Although this move is a bold one even for such a criminal, it will in no way stop the pending legal action against Metzgar with no less than 40 counts of Criminal Fraud.
