Addison, TX -- IndependentBaseball.net announced today that it has added a new resource to help baseball fans, sports media, and baseball industry members find the managers of independent professional minor league baseball teams. Several of the teams have former Major Leaguers as managers.
Matt Mc Dermott, founder of IndependentBaseball.net, said, "Many people are not necessarily aware of the distinctions between independent and 'affiliated' minor league baseball. One of the common questions asked is if there is anyone that they would recognize who is involved with independent baseball."
"Casual fans become more interested when they are told that former many Major League players now head independent baseball teams," Mc Dermott said. "They enjoy hearing about names like Sparky Lyle, Pete Incaviglia, Darrel Evans, and the rest of the managers with previous Major League experience. Since the managers are often as much of an attraction as the players, I decided to create a resource so that fans can stay up to date with the managers of independent baseball teams."
Interested parties can visit this link to see the list of current independent baseball managers: http://www.independentbaseball.net/managers. Links to each team's managing and coaching staff are next to each manager's name so that fans can discover a particular team's pitching coach, hitting coach, and the other coaches employed by the team.
