Marketing and Promotions Coordinator of the first Miss Green Planet International pageant Appointed
Mygold Inc today confirmed the appointment of Ms. Margaret Migayi as the Marketing and Promotions Coordinator of the first Miss Green Planet International pageant scheduled for September 24-Oct 1, 2011 in Chicago, Illinois.
Toronto, Canada—Mygold Inc today confirmed the appointment of Ms. Margaret Migayi as the Marketing and Promotions Coordinator of the first Miss Green Planet International pageant scheduled for September 24-Oct 1, 2011 in Chicago, Illinois. The international event will be preceded by six regional contests to select the finalists to the international contest.
The regional contests will be held for the Americas, Europe, Africa, Asia, Middle East, Australia and Oceania. The regional contests will be take place between May 1 and 31, 2011. The Miss Green Planet Americas contest is scheduled for May 21-22, 2011 in Toronto. Canada’s largest city will play host to 38 contestants, each representing individual countries of North America, Latin America, the Caribbean, as well as Puerto Rico and Greenland.
“Ms. Migayi who has been acting Marketing and Promotions Coordinator since November 1st has proven her capability to lead the outreach effort for the Miss Green Planet 2011’, said Tegi Obanda, the pageant International Director.
According to Obanda, Ms. Migayi is scheduled to travel to USA and Canada in late December to mid February 2011. “Ms. Migayi and the yet to be appointed Miss Americas Coordinator will attend a two-week orientation in Toronto from January 3-15, 2011.”, said Obanda. From there she will be in the US to set up pageant secretariat in Chicago. She will help develop rapport with stakeholders including city/state directors, city officials, hotels, partners, sponsors and media in the USA and Canada.
Ms. Migayi would then travel back to the UK in mid-February where she would initiate the staging of Miss Green Planet Europe scheduled for April 30-May 1. After that she is off to Dar-es-salaam, Tanzania for the Miss Green Planet Africa (May 7-8), then to Bombay, India (May 14-15) for Miss Green Planet Asia.
Ms. Migayi has taken a year off from her studies at the University of Greenwich, UK, where she is completing her Master's degree in Strategic Marketing. Ms. Migayi, who plans to pursue another degree in fashion design, was ecstatic at her confirmation. ‘I am so honored, and I cannot contain my excitement.” she beamed. “Fashion design is where my heart is, and I know I am going to learn a lot to help me in my career plans. I promise to do my best to make Miss Green Planet 2011 a smashing success”, she said. Ms. Migayi was one of the three finalists in the search for the pageant’s Marketing and Promotions Coordinator which started in September.
