Ann Arbor Ski Club Hosts Annual Corn Roast

The Ann Arbor Ski Club is hosting its annual Corn Roast Membership Drive on Sunday, August 24th from 1 -7 pm at Cobblestone Farms on Packard Road.

The Ann Arbor Ski Club is hosting its annual Corn Roast Membership Drive on Sunday, August 24th from 1 -7 pm at Cobblestone Farms on Packard Road. The club, with a current membership of over 400, is looking to add to its ranks along with kicking off its fall/winter schedule. The event also is the first opportunity for members to sign up for club-sponsored ski trips. The 2008 ski season will include trips to:  Telluride, Co  Lake Tahoe, CA  Big Sky, MO  Winter Park, CO Along with these five- and seven-day excursions, there are numerous local Alpine and Nordic outings planned, including the club’s long-standing tradition of an Instructional weekend at Shanty Creek Resort, Bellaire, MI. The Ann Arbor Ski Club, now in its 54rd year, is an all-volunteer organization which promotes and sponsors year-round activities including tennis and softball leagues, biking, canoeing, golf and various social “Nights on the Town.” The club holds General Meetings the 1st and 3rd Thursdays of the month at Cobblestone Farms from September through April which are open to the public
