SharePoint Password Change is a helpful SharePoint web part for users to change password without the intervention of the administrator.
SharePoint Password Change web part plays an important role in helping SharePoint users to change their password without the intervention of administrator and be warned with a message when password expires.
“SharePoint Password Change enables users to change password with great ease. It consists of two web parts, Password Change Web Part and Password Expire Warning Web Part. With the help of Password Change Web Part, users can change their own password in a SharePoint portal site instead of asking administrator for help. User can change password by clicking the hyperlink on “welcome” menu or create a web part to alter password. If the current password is incorrect or the new password does not meet the password policy, the user will receive a piece of notification message”, said Henry Zhang, the CTO of Brandysoft. “Password Expire Warning Web Part allows user to be notified before his/her password expires. A piece of message and a URL will display to inform the user that the password will expire,” Henry added.
“Since our work involves secret information, we need to change password frequently. To change nearly 100 passwords one by one is indeed a heavy burden for the administrator. With SharePoint Password Change Web part and Password Expire Warning Web part, users can not only change password by themselves, but also be warned several days before the password expires. It is quite a great assistant for our work”, one user said.
