Eco Kosher Treats Come to 5th Annual Oregon Chocolate Festival

Pete's Gourmet Confections will be appearing March 6th-8th at the 5th Annual Ashland Chocolate Festival, and their Head Confectioner, Peter Croyle, has something up his sleeve.  Several somethings, as a matter of fact: nibbles of eco kosher chocolates, gourmet marshmallows, and holiday treats ready to take the chocolate lovers this small town festival attracts by storm.  This is the 3rd consecutive year Pete's Gourmet has been invited to the festival, which brings chocolate lovers and Southern Oregon chocolatiers together at the Ashland Springs Hotel each March. His secret?  "We made a commitment: no ingredients you can't say or spell," says Croyle. "We also wanted to run an environmentally-friendly company, and since we got our start in marshmallows, eco kosher was a great option for us."  Receiving Eco Kosher certification in 2008, this is the first year Pete will be bringing his new eco kosher candies along to sample and display. "We have all sorts of goodies lined up.  Dark and white chocolate dipped marshmallows, spring lavender mallows, modern marshmallow easter eggs, slow whipped fudge, lemon marshmallow hearts, all sorts of gourmet flavors and candies incorporating our local seasonal ingredients and the finest all natural chocolate.  We're looking forward to meeting lots of people and handing out lots of chocolate samples." Each year, the Ashland Chocolate Festival draws hundreds of chocoholics with its promises of free samples and fine, local wines from participating vineyards.
