CHAPEL HILL, N.C. Susanne Gaddis, The Communications Doctor, has earned the Certified Speaking Professional (CSP) designation. Established in 1980, the CSP is the speaking profession’s international measure of speaking experience and skill. Fewer than 10 percent of the speakers who belong to the International Federation of Professional Speakers hold this professional designation.
“Earning your CSP takes a tremendous amount of commitment,” Mark LeBlanc said, 2007-08 NSA President. “To be part of such an exclusive list of speakers who have earned this designation demonstrates that the speaker has withstood the test of time and competency.”
The CSP designation is conferred by the National Speakers Association (NSA) and the International Federation of Professional Speakers (IFPS) only on accomplished professional speakers who have met strict criteria. CSPs must document a proven track record of continuing speaking experience and expertise as well as a commitment to ongoing education, outstanding client service and ethical behavior. Gaddis is one of 41 professionals to earn the CSP in the class of 2008. Since 1973, only 615 CSP designations have been awarded and only 192 have been women.
“For the past five years I have been working towards this professional designation and proud join individuals such as Jeffrey Gitomer, the author of The Little Red Book of Sales, Nido Qubein, president of High Point University, Jack Canfield, author of Chicken Soup for the Soul series and Zig Zigler, author of See You at the Top.”
