Two of UNESCO main programs in Latin America and the Caribbean are: -Education programs that attempt to rectify extreme poverty -Contribution by information and communication technologies to the development of education, science, culture and the building of a knowledge based society UNESCO serves poorer communities in Ecuador, encouraging development. UNESCO is striving to deliver greater resources and opportunities to these communities, depending on the country's economic status. Volunteers must be of age 22 or above with minimum education of Undergraduation.
