San Diego Builder Brookfield Homes Reports Best Week This Year
Nine gross sales last week attributed to buyers taking advantage of federal tax credits and builder incentives, as well as consumers wanting to buy a home before prices increase more than they already have throughout the region
Nine gross sales were recorded by Brookfield Homes San Diego last week, the best week to date this year, according to Lora Heramb, vice president of sales and marketing.
“Home shoppers are taking advantage of a perfect storm of positive forces, including an $8,000 federal tax credit for first time homebuyers and an additional $5,000 credit from Brookfield Homes for closing costs or upgrades on homes closing by November 30, 2009,” Heramb explained. “In addition, buyers see that the median home price is moving up and they want to be sure to get into a new home now.”
