Inza Camara, President and Mamadou Camara, Vice President of the Global African Business Consultant Group (www.gabcgroup.com) made history in Atlanta with the Inaugural Global African International Business Summit (GAIBS). The Summit brought together key players from several African countries including Cote d'Ivoire, Burkina Faso, Senegal and Gabon with major US corporations to discuss contract partnerships in critical business industries. These business representatives included smaller to larger owned producers and suppliers to key decisions makers from major corporations and governments in agriculture, waste management, airport construction, the poultry industry and biofuel. Mr. Amadou Kone, Minister of African Integration for Cote d' Ivoire, delivered the closing session address, while Kathleen Bertrand, Vice President of Community Affairs for the Atlanta Convention and Visitor's Bureau gave the summit luncheon Keynote Address.
This year’s Global African International Business Summit was held at the Ritz Carlton Hotel Downtown—Atlanta, GA. There were over 100 registrants who attended the events, which began with a VIP reception on opening night. This year's GAIBS 2009 highlighted various products, techniques and services aimed at enhancing and maximizing profits in the global economy between African countries and businesses in the US. Various industry professionals were invited to speak on "How To Do Business with Africa."
