Illicit drugs can be classified into narcotics such as opium, morphine, heroin, stimulants such as coca plants, cocaine, codeine, psychotropic substance such as LSD and barbiturates. Please note that most of these drugs have their legitimate uses. For example; morphine is a wonder drug in the realm of severe pain relief. In fact, it is the greatest single pain reliever the world has ever known. Cocaine is used in eye surgery and codeine is used in the preparation of cold medicaments .
