Five bird feeders were mini reviewed in an article, by Bernard P. Nelson, titled “Bird Feeder Consumer Reviews: Best Squirrel Proof Bird Feeders.” The article was recently published by Suite 101 Magazine.

Best Droll Yankee Bird Feeders

The Droll Yankee Whipper and the Droll Yankee Flipper bird feeders were reviewed in Nelson’s article. The Whipper is a perfect bird feeder for cardinals. The Flipper has a motorized perch for spinning off squirrels (would be fun to watch). The review list the estimated price for each feeder reviewed, and provides a link to a longer ConsumerSearch (CS) website review of the same feeders.

Squirrel Proof Bird Feeder for Chickadees and Finches

The Brome Squirrel Buster Plus bird feeder was reviewed as the best feeder for small birds. When a heaver bird lands on the feeder, the feeder ports shut down. A link is provided to a CS longer review.

Best Large Witch’s Hat Bird Feeder

The Arundale Sky Cafe bird feeder was selected the “Best” large feeder because it holds up to five quarts of seeds. Owners say the feeder is “easy to clean.”  Squirrels will slide off the “witch’s hat” peaked roof. An optional pole is available.
