TORONTO, ONTARIO – McFarlane Desamour LLP is announcing flat-fee pricing and the upcoming launch of a secure, accessible 24/7, web-enabled interface for potential and existing Business, E-commerce/Internet and Immigration law clients.  It is the first law firm in Canada to employ the use of service as a software technology to offer a secure portal where clients can obtain many of the customary professional legal services that are provided, such as discussing file matters, exchanging documents, Natalie McFarlane, a partner of the firm, immediately recognized the increase in value that could be provided to clients: “It feels great to be able to offer a complimentary and alternative model to serving clients.  The use of Web 2.0 legal software enables clients to retain legal services online; an undeniably creative, innovative and timely value proposition.  This is an alternative that allows us to provide potential and existing clients with increased accessibility, flexibility and efficiency.  Clients expect value and that is what we are committed to providing them.  It is equally pleasing to be able to incorporate a sustainable Green thread to our firm’s operating framework, which includes a reduction in the use of paper.” said Ms. McFarlane. In addition to the convenience of accessing online legal counsel and services via the firm’s website, the offering of various flat-fee pricing options to transactional clients is a welcome in challenging economic times, and a law practice philosophy that Ms. McFarlane adheres to: “The offering of flat-fee pricing and its varying options is an acknowledgement that clients pay for, and desire, value - a significant part of which are the results provided and not time invested.  Among other things, flat-fee pricing enables clients to allocate the adequate amount to their legal budget prior to retaining their desire service.” About McFarlane Desamour LLP McFarlane Desamour LLP is a Toronto-based law firm established in 2008.  Their areas of practice include Business law, E-commerce/Internet law, Immigration law, Employment law, Commercial Litigation, Sports & Entertainment law and Mediation Services.  For more information, feel free to visit www.mcfarlanedesamour.com.

Nongpoo(05.15.2012 00:1:00): If you are talking about Netflix, I bvielee you can technically do this (haven't tried it out myself yet). You might want to be careful that you do not violate your contract. Just because multiple people can stream movies at the same time, it doesn't mean that you necessarily are supposed to.For example, if my wife wants to watch a movie while I'm watching a different movie, that probably wouldn't be against the contract as we are one established household. However, if I were to give out my login information to friends who do not live with me just to save a few bucks, I'd probably have broken that contract. If your scenario is closer to the second setup, I'd pump out the 8 bucks extra a month for another contract. It's not like it's really that expensive.
