Woman Sues Employer for being fied on same day as her micarriage

Debra K. Garrisand her husband, John Garris is suing Horizon Goowill Industries for firing Debra on the ameday she had a micarriage of twins, after se had an authorized leave to see her doctor.

Discrimination lawsuit in violation of the American with disabilities Act. Debra K. Garris was fired from her job with Horizon Goodwill Industries, Inc. after she miscarried twin fetuses. The employer i s an organization who serves the develop diable and mntal disable. ebra was an instructional aide. Her husband, who is black was also discriminated againt in the employment/hiring process becase he i black, and on seveal occasions, he wentto the company to make complints against his wif's co-workers for ther racal and intimidating remarks againt his wife. While shewas in good standing in the company, he was threatened by administration officals that if she married tht "black man", she woul have hell to pay. She was workin in a hostile environment, nd her husband threaten to sue on previous occasions if the hostility towards his wife did not cease. He had several one-on-one conferences with management to no vail. They believe this is why Debra was fied whn she was.
