PHILADELPHIA – Rhonda Hill Wilson, Philadelphia Nursing Home Negligence attorney and opinion leader, recently spoke to students at Cheyney University of Pennsylvania in West Chester, Pa., on the topic of radio and ethics as it relates to the legal arena. Hill Wilson has been involved in the broadcast industry since 1993. Working with WURD 900-AM, an interactive and information-based talk radio station founded on the concepts of empowerment, community focus, and enlightened conversation, Hill Wilson has honed her broadcast experience. She hosted the WURD radio talk show “Truth Rising” from 2003 – 2007 before serving as a co-host for “The Morning Team.” On “Truth Rising,” Hill Wilson addressed local, national and international legal and political issues. “It is vital that professionals be accessible and available to young people in the community considering a career in law and ethics. I made it into the legal industry and want to continue to foster growth as long as I am able,” said Hill Wilson. Hill Wilson is an award-winning personal injury attorney who has been practicing law for nearly three decades in Pennsylvania and New Jersey. She concentrates her practice in nursing home negligence, while also handling medical malpractice, catastrophic personal injury, wrongful death, motor-vehicle accident and premises liability matters. An opinion leader and role-model, Hill Wilson gives back by teaching inner-city youth and area students life skills and goal setting. She serves as the chair for the Philadelphia-area "A Mind Is" Annual Giving Society, a national contributors' program of the United Negro College Fund. Hill Wilson is on the Greater Philadelphia Advisory Board for the Salvation Army, and through the organization’s youth programs, addresses mentoring, and career and life path issues. She was a panel member of the Community College of Philadelphia’s “Thinking About Law School” program and participated in Drexel University College of Law’s co-op program, mentoring a female law student in 2007 – 2008. During the past two years, she has also participated in the Eastwick Recreation Center’s (located in Philadelphia) mentoring program. Hill Wilson brings a high level of integrity and compassion to her clients. One of the firm’s most recent successes includes a multi-million-dollar settlement for a woman who was left in a vegetative state following a Caesarean section.
