The Websters and the Silksmiths are two spider families that share the attic in an old Victorian house where the Anderson family lives. The Silksmiths baby (hatchling) was born with a missing leg leaving the couple desperately seeking the help of the brilliant Dr. Threads. The doctor lives down in the basement of the house and the journey there is filled with dangerous challenges. The Silksmiths have to make the journey and seek help from the Websters. Together the families set out on their quest to help the hatchling and face grave danger as they become entangled with the Anderson family.
