Annette Patmore, the mother of a child with an incurable genetic disease is holding a Fun Pamper Evening to help raise money for CHASE Hospice Care for Children. During the evening there will be a selection of professional therapists available for pre-booked treatments which include a Mini Facial deep cleanse followed by a relaxing facial massage, Nail File and Polishing, Hand or Foot Massages, Indian Head Massages and Make-up or colour Consultations with a professional image consultant. The evening will also include a selection of retail stalls, a raffle with fantastic prizes, a licensed bar run by ‘top totty’ bar staff appropriately dressed for the evening, tea, coffee and cakes. Annette said “The evening is going to be a way of having fun whilst raising money for this very amazing charity that are very close to our hearts. We have an excellent selection of therapists and suppliers available on the night to make the evening a ‘not to be missed’ ladies night out!” Annette’s daughter Sophie suffers from a severe form of mitochondrial disease, which result from failures of the mitochondria, specialised energy producing compartments present in every cell of the body except red blood cells, when they fail, cell injury and cell death follow affecting many parts of the body. In Sophie's case,  the disease has affected her muscles which make it difficult for her to move and breathe. She is permanently connected to a ventilator and requires round the clock care. Annette said “Looking after a life-limited child such as Sophie is very hard work and emotionally draining at times, but CHASE really does make an amazing difference to our lives. They are devoted to helping the children they support and nothing is too much trouble. CHASE relies totally on fundraising, so we wanted to put on the Pamper Evening as a way of giving something back.” The evening will take place at the Holly Bush pub in Frensham, Surrey on Sunday 23 November 2008 starting at 7.30pm.
