(Texas State University-San Marcos)- March 25, 2009, SIFE students went to Jackson Hall on campus to help teach fellow Bobcats the importance of knowing information about credit scoring and credit reports. Cassey Baldwin, Kimberley Berner, and Joe Koenig taught the students details that are on the credit report, what a FICO score is, and ten ways to help improve your credit score. The three SIFE students believe that information on credit is not taught enough in classes, so that is why they try to help spread the word across campus. They hope to continue passing on the knowledge to anyone who wants to learn.
.
The project entitled “Dr. Debt” teaches the concepts of financial awareness & responsibility, how to improve your personal finances, credit tips, and personal discipline. These concepts that the students learn meet the requirements given by SIFE Headquarters.
