Seriously, think of the last real game played at an office or college campus. Now think of a fun social group game. Not too many right? Well, not the kind where users can interact and be social at the same time. Blowfin Inc. has put together a game that takes advantage of the latest smartphone, the explosion of social networking, the excitement of tag, hide & seek and paintball and combined them into a game called Ninjahit. Your smartphone's camera is your virtual weapon.
The elimination process is the same for all the games, sneak up on the target, tap the "Ninjahit" button and take a picture. The app opens a page where a player can add some trash talk, then send off the hit. The target receives a vibrate on their phone and sees the image and the display "You've been Ninjahit". The victim confirms the hit and is now eliminated from the game. And depending which game is being played the server either sends the player a new target or the player selects another target.
There are many variations of the game and one is called "The Assassin" in this game, a player creates a game, if there are 30 players in the group then the server assigns each player a target. The player then hunts down his/her target till they can get a sneaky snapshot (Ninjahit). Once the victim confirms the shot the player receives a new target, and so on till there is one player left. Each player needs to be sneaky and stealthy because he/she does not know who is after them.
A prime example of a Ninjahit game is one where 15 friends join a game say before school starts. And through out the day during class, lunch or sporting events each player is search for their target. A game can last up to 7 days depending on the size of the group. Now that is suspenseful.
Athletes on road trips, in a bus, on a jet, it's a fun game that will keep people entertained. If it's an office environment, there can't a better place to play Ninjahit. An environment where there are hundreds of cubicles would be ideal for Ninjahit. I'm sure the boss will not be too happy about all the commotion, but hey at least the T1 line is freed up.
Besides the games, Ninjahit allows a user to take a sneaky snapshot of his/her friend in funny situations and email it to them. It also allows a user to create events like scavenger hunt games or trivial games where their groups take photos to answer mind twisting riddle.
Ninjahit Lite is now available for download from iTunes. It's a fun and unique game and Blowfin Inc. wants to give users a taste of the game. With Ninjahit Lite users can enjoy a game called "Face Off" an intense two player game. Ninjahit Lite has all the features the full version does but limits it to just two players with the ability to easily upgrade to the full version.
