24th Annual "Awesome Foursome" Golf Tournament

Golfers are expected to hit the links on July 27, 2009 for the 24th Annual “Awesome Foursome” Golf Tournament hosted by the Rotary Club of North Providence. The tournament will be held on Monday, July 27th at the Valley Country Club in West Warwick, R.I.  All of the proceeds from this event will go toward supporting the Rotary Club of North Providence’s various charitable activities.  In the recent years, the tournament has assisted more than 20 worthy causes. The Club also awards annual scholarships to North Providence high school seniors, and is involved in national and global pure water and polio initiatives as well. According to the Club’s golf tournament co-chairs, Joe Bruno and Lou Marciano, "For the last 24 years this event has been a fun way for us to raise money that our Club will use to give back to the community. The North Providence Rotary Club works on many important projects that benefit the members of our community, and is a great way to bring the community together.” The “Awesome Foursome” Golf Tournament gets underway with a lunch buffet at 11:30 a.m. and a shotgun start at 1:00 p.m. The tournament will feature several contest holes, followed by a dinner buffet and raffle.
