How my life changed after weight loss surgery a Kenyans experience in India

With a feeling of utmost lightness, both literally and figuratively, I am writing this to express my feelings of heart felt gratitude to my bariatric surgeon and all the people involved, in giving me a new lease of life! You can well imagine the plight of an individual, who is only 37 and is suffering from diabetes, hypertension and atherosclerosis (my doctor explained to me that it was deposition of cholesterol in my arteries), finds it difficult to perform day to day activities- cannot tie shoelaces on own, has difficulty in passing through most normal passages and that too just because of his weight, which is 389 lbs! I was always obese but my eating habits and sedentary lifestyle led me to gain enormous weight, which became actually difficult for me to handle. I was hospitalized twice and my doctors warned me that I would have to face dire consequences, if I do not reduce my weight immediately! I started gymming obsessively but the instructor told me that with my kind of weight, it will take me ages to reduce weight. It was on his insistence that I searched for options in India and god only knows how grateful I am to him for saving my life.
