New Jersey Plastic Surgeon Concurs; Carboxytherapy and Mesotherapy Potentially Dangerous

New Jersey Plastic Surgeon weighs in on new treatments.

A recent warning issued by a major plastic surgery organization suggests that the misleading carboxytherapy and mesotherapy injection treatments are potentially dangerous: (http://www.prweb.com/releases/Carboxytherapy/Mesotherapy_warnings/prweb2690464.htm.) Carboxytherapy Injections inject carbon dioxide under the skin to reduce cellulite, treat bags under the eyes, reduce stretch marks, and even can be used for fat sculping.  However, the danger is that these injections can release gas bubbles into blood vessels which can cause blindness.  Mesotherapy is a mixture of vitamins, drugs, and enzymes which claim to treat cellulite and weightloss.  The safety and efficacy of this product is not fully understood. New Jersey Plastic Surgeon, Dr.  Richard D'Amico, strongly advocates only seeking medical treatment of this kind from a professional.  Additionally, the nature and composition of these "miracle" injections have not fully been qualified by an authoritative body and should be carefully scrutinized.
