Author Biography.  Almost five years ago Ken took off from Heathrow Airport on a business trip to America on arrival his passport threw up an anomaly and he  was subsequently arrested at Washington Airport and carted away to spend almost a month in jail, sharing space with convicted murderers and drug barons. Eventually, in both chains and handcuffs, he was unceremoniously deported to France, put into a rat-infested prison, charged with crimes he did not understand let alone commit. Being a businessman one minute and a convict the next has a very levelling effect on a fellow, especially when one has always steered on the ‘right’ side of the law! In order to stop himself going mad with frustration and worry he began to draw up the outline for the Knights of Black Chapter.  The last four and a half years have been spent researching the intriguing world of freemasonry and developing the full story line for The Knights of Black Chapter, in parallel with fighting and eventually winning the battle to clear his name with the French authorities.  Ken Bourne-Turner is a practising Freemason and Knights Templar of the St Amand Preceptory with full allegiance  to: The United Religious and Military Orders of the Temple, and of St John of Jerusalem, Palestine, Rhodes and Malta in England and Wales and the Dominions and Dependencies of the British Crown.
