Dos and Donts if you have a spillage....

WATER Do Remove water with a suction machine and remove affected underlay. DON’T lift the carpet as this will cause shrinkage. SOFT DRINKS DO apply a solution of white vinegar and water (4 tablespoons to a half pint of water). JUICE DON’T Apply a domestic shampoo as this may set the staining. PAINT DO Slightly moisten the area with white spirit and then tape over with a plastic sheet DON’T Rub (this only allows the liquid to penetrate the fibres) OIL DO Cover with protective barrier to prevent transfer to other areas DON’T Pull at the solid areas as this will disturb the surface. TEA/COFFEE DO Apply a solution of white vinegar and water (4 tablespoons to a half pint of water). DON’T Apply a domestic shampoo as this may set the staining.
