New Designs by Furniture Designer, Gregory Clark

Three new designs have been added to Gregory Clark's collection of Formal-Contemporary furniture. Clark's work has been shown in galleries nationally and will be a participant in December's international design show, Miami Art Basel 2010.

THE DESIGNER
Gregory Clark, a graduate of Rhode Island School of Design, has worked across a wide range of disciplines; designing consumer products, manufacturing his own products, creating architectural projects and lecturing on design and the creative process to industry and universities.  In 2001, after a career as a “gun for hire” product designer for Fortune 500 companies, Gregory married his passion for furniture making and his corporate know how to form Artifact Design Group, LLC and its provocative gallery in Wilton, CT.  Continuing his quest to bridge the gap between art and design, Gregory recently launched a new collection that connects technology with high design targeted for the hospitality/contract market.

THE G-SPOT ROCKER:  Rethinking the classical rocking chair, the G-Spot Rocker expresses Gregory Clark’s fascination for original form and affection with contrasting materials.  The piece is constructed with steel, exotic wood & rich textiles.

THE FILIGREE TABLE:  Gregory Clark juxtaposes a classical motif with modern form and state of the art manufacturing methods with an old world hand applied patina finish.

FLAT SCREEN EASEL:  Gregory Clark cleverly marries an old world iconic form with new world technology.  Intrinsically rich in exotic materials (Wenge wood, granite, brass hardware) the piece is meticulously executed like a handmade easel from our past. Magically engineered with all the wires hidden in the post, the design redefines a television as a delivery device for artistic content.
