Plantconnection has launched the “Year Round Veg” project, which aims to help novice and experienced gardeners alike grow their own organic vegetables and reduce grocery bills. The vegetables can supply an average family with a large part of their vegetable needs all year round.
Plantconnection have selected a complete range of vegetable plants that are easy to grow on and will ensure a year round harvest of produce straight from the garden. The plants are grown at their Soil Association, organically certified nursery in West Sussex and delivered at regular intervals throughout the year to ensure that gardeners receive their plug plants at the optimum time for planting out in the garden. This eliminates all the uncertainty of growing plants from seeds.
Customers also receive a vegetable planner and complete instructions providing information on when plants will arrive, how to plant out, growing instructions per variety and the best times for harvesting. The plants are accompanied by articles, downloadable care guides and videos on www.plantconnection.co.uk, so growing becomes easy.
To show the growth progress the company will be growing their own vegetables on the Plantconnection allotment, and will provide a regular diary of the progress made via the Plantconnection Blog. Gardeners will be able to share information, obtain growing advice and compare their gardening skills via the blog entries.
The project packs contain vegetable plug plants such as Broccoli, Beans, Lettuce, Tomatoes Carrots, Spinach, Cauliflower and Onions.
There are two options:
1. The Introduction Collection, containing 9 different varieties for an allotment area of 10x10 ft
2. The Complete Collection with 27 different varieties, for which an allotment area of 20x30 ft is required.
