With the goal of recognizing our D-Day veterans, preserving their stories, and sharing the lessons and legacy of their accomplishments, "Overlord Echoes" will showcase the best D-Day scholarship and research with opportunities to hear about D-Day firsthand from those who lived it. Combining story with history, experience with insight, "Overlord Echoes" promises to be the only gathering of its kind in the nation. "Overlord Echoes" kicks off with a two-day conference at nearby Liberty University in Lynchburg, Virginia, featuring authors, scholars, and veteran speakers on a host of D-Day topics. Panels are designed to allow opportunities for discussion as well as presentation. This conference is sponsored in part by the Virginia Foundation for the Humanities, and is funded as part of the We the People initiative of the National Endowment for the Humanities.
