York Prep has been helping students in grades 6–12 prepare for entrance into the nation’s finest colleges and universities. This independent, co-educational day school boasts an impressive acceptance rate: one-hundred percent of graduating seniors are accepted into institutions of higher education, and an astonishing eighty-five percent are admitted to the top two schools of their choice. What sets York Prep apart from other NYC private schools and allows its students to attain such a high level of academic success is the unique approach to education fostered by co-founders Ronald and Jayme Stewart. The school’s emphasis on individual learning experiences is manifested through ability-level class groupings, strong academic support, small class sizes, honors courses, college courses, independent-study courses, and a one-of-a-kind curriculum that spans from math and science to the humanities and foreign languages. Students are allowed to work quickly through their best subjects and learn at a more moderate pace those subjects which are more difficult for them
