The team at Total Rx Savings passionately supports this endeavor by providing access to affordable prescription drugs,” said Ankur Saxena, senior business analyst for Total Rx Savings, LLC. “Our new Prescription Assistance Program ensures that uninsured Americans, regardless of income level, the opportunity to receive what can often be very expensive medications for the same $10 co-pay as someone with health insurance by identifying corporate and government programs that provide these medications for free. Our program helps them both identify these medications and apply for the programs as quickly as possible.” When customers access the Web site, they may access more than 500 programs either by searching for a specific prescription drug, or for programs within a specific state. The software will then access the various programs available to that customer for that drug and will walk the customer through the process of applying for the program. Total Rx Savings’ Prescription Assistance Program, through assisting qualified customers to obtain free medications from manufacturers and through state-run programs, will provide millions of uninsured Americans with free-of-charge prescription drugs for a small processing fee. The software is a distinct advantage for these customers, as determining the medications that are eligible for the various manufacturer and state programs is often difficult for individuals because manufacturers are often elusive about detailing the process for obtaining these free medications and once the programs are identified, the paperwork involved in applying for these programs is often complicated. Moreover, the list of medications that qualify in these programs is constantly being modified by drug manufacturers or concerned states. But Total Rx Savings’ Prescription Assistance Program software is constantly updated with the latest relevant drug information to ensure that users always have the most updated information and access to the most updated programs. The Total Rx Savings’ PAP database covers more than 500 assistance programs, of which more than 300 are company-run while the rest are state-run assistance programs, covering more than 2,000 drugs for wide variety of treatment needs, including cardiovascular disease, diabetes and other metabolic disorders, various types of cancer and others.
