CINCINNATI—Talbert House is pleased to announce the appointment of David Szkutak as director of EXCEL (Executive Curriculum for Emerging Leaders). EXCEL is an initiative by Talbert House to develop, train and nurture local nonprofit leaders, and the program has trained 30 nonprofit leaders since its launch in 2006.
Szkutak has experience as a senior executive with international experience in the high technology business sector. He leads Tide Watch LLC, a consulting business specializing in corporate growth and strategy. Previously, he was president and CEO of Corning Precision Lens Inc and started his career in manufacturing management at Procter & Gamble. He has an MBA from Xavier University and a degree in chemical engineering from Worcester Polytechnic Institute. Szkutak is active on several boards, including United Way of Greater Cincinnati, Michelman and Crown Plastics.
“I am thrilled to join the Talbert House team in the leadership role for EXCEL,” Szkutak said. “Throughout my career in various leadership roles, I have always emphasized and thoroughly enjoyed developing leaders. I hope to help our community in this new endeavor.”
EXCEL is a year-long nonprofit training program to develop and nurture the future leadership of the sector. EXCEL features a curriculum taught by local business professionals, personalized development plans, mentoring, project learning and networking. The United Way of Greater Cincinnati is a sponsor.
