Patty Peck Honda in Ridgeland MS is turning up the power behind their Facebook presence. The dealer is inviting area residents to “like” their company on Facebook, and is launching the “He Grills, She Chills” promotion to award loyal fans.
“For years, our customers have liked us for our prices, inventory, and service,” says General Manager Bob Aubrey. “Through this promotion, we want to give them one more reason to ‘Like’ us on Facebook.”
On December 11, 2010, http://www.pattypeckhonda.com will draw from among Facebook fans and will give away some very likeable prizes. Two winners will be selected- one to win a Big Green Egg from Madison Fireplace & Patio and a second to win a full day of rest and relaxation from Aqua the Day Spa in Ridgeland.
These prizes, worth over $1500 at retail cost, are far greater than any Patty Peck Honda has doled out in the past. Studies show, however, that rewarding Facebook fans can pay dividends.
A recent study by email marketing service provider ExactTarget revealed that 38% of US consumers “like” a brand on Facebook, and that the average consumer “likes” 9 brands. 40% of study participants reported that the primary reason they “liked” a brand on Facebook was to receive discounts and promotions. The study showed that this motivation outpaced all others.
Patty Peck Honda hopes to maximize this trend by offering high-value prizes.
“Our goal, of course,” says Aubrey, “is to build relationships with our customers on Facebook that mirror the relationships we’ve been able to build right here in the showroom. These relationships have value, and they keep our customers coming back.”
