The revolutionary and technosavvy mystic, Anandmurti Gurumaa will hold satsangs between January 07 and 11 at the Bandra Reclamation Ground, opposite Leelavati Hospital everyday from 07 p.m. to 09 p.m.
Haryana based Gurumaa will discourse on a variety of subjects and practical problems faced by Mumbaikars. Addressed at all sections and religions of the society, her discourses will draw parallels from Ramayan, Mahabharat, Shrimad Bhagvad Gita, Koran, Bible, Gurugranth Sahib and other religious texts.
Celebrated for her secular thoughts and modernist approach, her discourses are expected to provide relief for the terror stricken Mumbaikars. Her spontaneous talks invoke deeper understanding towards life and aims at giving rise to a new kind of human being – a highly evolved individual who reflects the right balance of inner spirituality and outer practicality.
Born in Punjab and running an ashram sprawled over 22 acres at Haryana, Anandmurti Gurumaa is a revolutionary seer who defies all distinctions and stands beyond political, geographical and material barricades. Her discourses and meditation sessions create a new sense of awareness where life is viewed without any conditioning and prejudices and essential sutras and key to life, to live it truthfully and totally where each stage of life is welcomed with open arms.
In her discourses, she throws light on the life of women mystics like Mira, Sahajo Baho and Rabia; sufi mystics like Jalauddin Rumi, Hazrat Shah Hussain, Baba Farid, Baba Bulleshah and Hazrat Bahu. Her talks bring fresh insights to everything from Adi Shankaracharya’s Atamshatak to Rishi Narad’s Bhakti Sutras. She speaks in depth about wisdom of Zen, intricacies of Yoga, jokes of Mulla Naruddin and Zen stories.
She has devised potent yog-mudras and a variety of meditation techniques that have brought peace and success to thousands of seekers who visit her ashram each month. Shakti, an NGO floated by Gurumaa to empower the girl child, has successfully aided many girls.
