Dolpo Tulku Rinpoche will teach how to do a Puja using the proper hand mudras and implements like Vajra and Bell. He will be explaining the meaning behind these rituals. The teaching will be based on the Gana-puja (Tsog Offering) text called the "Shower of Blessings". Gana Puja (Tsog Offering) is considered in the Vajrayana tradition of Buddhism as the most important Puja. Gana means an assembly. In this practice, an assembly of practitioners brings together an assembly of offering substances, purify it through their meditation and through the invocation of the Guru's blessing, and then make an offering to the assembly of Gurus (Buddhas) and retinue. This group practice is a very powerful support to enrich one's own individual practice. Sometimes, the results of individual practice can ripen during a Gana Puja due to the powerful ambience of group practice. Please note that during the session on 18th April, we will not be performing a Gana Puja, instead the procedure will be explained in detail. Gana Puja is performed at the centre on every 10th day of the lunar month. About the Teacher Dolpo Tulku Rinpoche Sherab Zangpo was born in 1981 in the Dho Tharap valley in Dolpo region of Nepal. At the age of ten, he was recognized by His Holiness Dilgo Khyentse Rinpoche as the reincarnation of the Dolpo Lama Nyinchung Rinpoche. He travelled to Namdroling Monastery in Bylakkuppe, Mysore to complete his study of philosophy, practice and rituals under the guidance of His Holiness Penor Rinpoche. He excelled in all his studies. Upon completion of his studies, he began to teach Sutra and Tantra at the Ngagyur Nyingma Institute, the advanced center of philosophy study at Namdroling Monastery from 2007.
