First, remove the iPhone sim card. To do this, you just need to push a pin or paper clip down inside the hole to release the sim card. Flip the iPhone over to expose the iPhone back. Slide the cover off of the device. Unscrew the three Philip’s head screws from the top edge that the black piece was covering. Remove the back silver case of iPhone. Once the back case is loose, carefully lift up to expose the internal components of the iPhone. There will be a gold film-like ribbon that attach to the back case. Follow the bold ribbon to where it was connected to the iPhone’s body, there will be a small plastic tab that you need to lift up on to release the ribbon. Once the ribbon is free, set aside the back case of iPhone. Locate and release the silver antenna cable the runs along the right side of iPhone. Then find out and remove 10 small screws on the outside border of iPhone. Locate the silver components on the inside of the device, and lift up on the entire mental silver piece to remove the motherboard and then set it aside. As the iPhone battery is connected to the motherboard, you need to set it aside the battery as well. By now, you can remove the front piece of the iPhone’s external case. Once the front case is removed, locate the three clips on either side of the LCD screen and hold the screen in place. Lift up and release these clips to remove the LCD screen. You should do this carefully as not to damage any wires attached to the screen. Clip the new screen in and reassemble the iPhone by attaching all of the components back exactly where you removed them.
