- Sep 10, 2011 - This year the nation will commemorate the 10th anniversary of the brutal attacks of terrorism against America on September 11, 2001. Rappers Saint and Laws teamed up with Singer Jay Rosenberg to do their part by making a song entitled "Proud of You". The song pays tribute to all of the American Soldiers overseas and at home that are fighting in the War against Terror subsequently initiated because of the attacks. Sunday, September 11th, 2011, “Proud of You” will be released online via www.dedicationsong.com .
Ten years ago, the United States experienced an act of terrorism that left thousands of people dead or injured. Four American planes were hijacked. Two of which were flown into the Twin Towers of The World Trade Center in New York. One into the Pentagon and another that was headed for Washington, D.C., which prematurely crashed in Pennsylvania after passengers, attempted to take over. These attacks lead to the War on Terror initiated by George Bush and his administration.
It is important that we take the time out of our day to thank the courageous soldiers that fight for our freedom and to appreciate the support their families give them to keep fighting. Thank the ones that have given their lives so that we could have one. Our soldiers leave their families for months, even years on end to fight this war. “Proud of You” honors the love, dedication and bravery provided by the troops each and every day. These last 10 years have been quite a journey, and to say we are still here as the land of the free and the home of the brave is what we are proud of.
