Ava Weinstein, The Legally Blind Photographer… Was recently commissioned by Royalty to photograph Her Majesty The Queen LaMbikiza of Swaziland, Africa… The photo session took place at DeanZign Studio in Los Angeles. The private shoot encompassed The Queen in an array of elegant poses, original gowns and jewelry coupled by Her Majesty’s beauty, charm and grace. Ava’s unique style of pop-art caught The Queen’s attention during a speaking engagement at The Skirball Cultural Center when they were introduced by a mutual acquaintance. The photo-shoot was such a success that Ava was asked to photograph the wedding of Her Majesty’s daughter the accomplished hip-hop artist Princess Pashu. Ava has endured a lifetime of adversities yet she has always been a visionary. Although visually impaired since birth, this inspired her to capture glimpses of life through the lens of a camera. Upon discovering her innate talent and passion for photography she embarked on a career that thus far has amassed over 500,000 images and counting. Her kinetic energy is contagious; her motivation and drive are unstoppable. And, her relentless pursuit to please her subjects and receive recognition from her peers is boundless. Every day of light is a gift and a blessing. An ongoing adventure was created since birth that allows her and her magical camera to render the colors, patterns and textures of life -that are around us all yet most of us take for granted.
