"Foxx" Biopic Announced! The story of comedian Redd Foxx.

This film will follow the life of John Elroy Sanford better known as Redd Foxx.

CLEVELAND, OH - 85 Pages Productions is in talks with Michael Ealy (Barbershop, Seven Pounds) to star as Comedian Redd Foxx in the biopic Foxx. When comedians are asked who inspired them, three names come up. Those names are Richard Pryor, Redd Foxx and Eddie Murphy. The biopic will cover Redd's early life in St. Louis, his time working as a dishwasher with Malcolm X in Harlem, his party record success, Sanford and Son, troubles with the IRS and his untimely death. Redd Foxx is a comedic legend and he has a story that deserves to be told. 85 Pages Productions is also in talks with Lance Gross (House of Payne,Meet the Browns) to play Demond Wilson who played Lamont on Sanford and Son.
