Community Heroes Official Selection at Atlanta Film Festival
Community Heroes is an Official Selection of the Urban Mediamakers Film Festival in Atlanta. Our childrens blood is flowing in the streets. Community Heroes documentary highlights the everyday heroes addressing the challenge.
Dirk Cannon and Marilyn Moore of Eagle Heart Productions found that youth find it easy to pick up a gun to settle a dispute. After Mayor Rybak of Minneapolis suggested that we do a film on Youth Violence, we decided to focus the documentary on the positive community groups that focus on getting Youth off the street and helping them find positive directions for their lives.
The challenge goes beyond Minneapolis. Cities accross the world have the same serious challenges.
