Robert Metzgar - Con Artist Supreme!

There have always been scam artists in the music business. HIstory is full of the stories.HOwever, no one comes close to the worst con man in Nashville at this time, Robert Metzgar. Robert Meztgar from Nashville, Tennessee, is not associated with MCA Records, and never has been. He is not in any way associated with Universal Records, and never has been. He is not even a record producer, in the true meaning of the word. Actually there is almost not one word of his self proclamation that is accurate in any way. He is a con man of the highest order, and that fact is true. Bobby has captured three of the most recognized names in the record producing business and made them his own, however the truth is that neither MCA, Universal or Capital would allow him in through their front doors. Mind you, he spells his company name with an O (capitol). Intentional or a slip of the pen, Bob? Something like his misspelling of Bob Dylans name on his web page.. Can you imagine the nerve it takes to self proclaim and promote ones own self in such a manner as to make themselves appear to be acquainted with and known by some of the biggest record companies in the world? not to mention the constant name dropping he does to make himself appear connected or associated by the true greats of the music business. There are so many lies and deceit that comes from Metzgar that it is mind boggling. If one bold faced lie is enough to ruin or discredit a person then what can be said about a man like this? where there cannot be found one shred of evidence of truth? I personally invested $50,000 in a country music act that was supposedly being managed and produced by Metzgar. The musical act was/is genuine and the best I have heard, which is why I chose to invest the money to help the group get their latest album completed. If done properly and in accordance to the story line I was fed by Metzgar, I stood to earn my initial investment back within months and then continue to reap the benefits accumulated by this famous and perfectly able country music group. After several months of requesting a paper trail or some form of proof of my investment, I started to get nervous. It didn't take much investigation to discover that Robert Metzgar has been in trouble with the law since his inception in the music business and continues to con all kinds of people daily. On our first meeting at his office, which was an old delapidated house on Music Row, I remember being somewhat impressed by a rack on the wall behind his chair that displayed several gold records. splattered around the walls were more fake platinum records and few more gold, not to mention picture after picture of the most famous artists in the business. There were many autographed pictures on the wall that were dedicated to Metzgar. I came to find out much later that the award winning records on the wall were showing their age with the gold and silver paint wearing off in spots and the many photos were cut out of magazines and autographed by Metzgar to Metzgar! The entire office was an elaborate yet inexpensive front for his scheme of pretending to be a record producer. Upon giving Metzgar a handful of money, he would go through an elaborate spiel of bull shit to convince and seal his mark into believing he was doing what he claimed to do. His studio of choice is Chelsea Studio in Brentwood, Tennessee, which is operated primarily by Tony Migliore. I cant take away from Tony concerning his ability or talent however his choice of associates and cohorts is questionable, and I would say, guilty by association. Metzgar tells lies when there is no need to tell lies. That is the part that really baffles me. He makes up the most elaborate stories even when there is no need to do so. However, to steal from innocent honest people by purposefully creating and fabricating lies is illegal. Many more of the actions taken by Bob fall into the criminal law area and are punishable by time served. I have recently been informed by the FBI that I must stand in line to attempt to gain any form of refund of my stolen money and that there are so many law suits against Metzgar at this time, that the powers that be don't know just how to organize it all. I am also being informed by the D.A.'s office in Nashville that the hammer is about to fall on Robert Metzgar and all innocent people should stand aside. There are a few other artists and advocates of what's right, that are prosecuting Metzgar also. Hopefully the numbers that stand up against this scum of the earth, will prevail, and in the end, he will get his just reward for all the people he has hurt in the worst possible ways. Robert Metzgar is a low life of a human being and I know in no way represents the professionals of the music business. Still, "consumer beware"! Please investigate whoever you are trying to choose to do business with.
