Songs of Horses: A Favorite by D. Glas "I Lost My Horses to the Moon"

Horses are amazing. They lift the human experience to a better level. Here's a song about some horses I knew in western Idaho and how they impressed me enough to write a country song about them.

I was living in a small town called Cambridge, Idaho. It's out on the western side of Idaho, near the entrance to Hell's Canyon National Recreation Area. My wife and I were staying at a friend's property just outside of town, and some neighbors had put their horses into the pasture area behind our mobile home. One night, the moon was full and the wind really blew. I had this idea that the horses flew off with the wind and the moon. That's how I came up with this song.
