This new course, entitled Mindfulness for Weight Management, uses awareness of oneself as a correcting guide to losing weight rather than the driving force of will power. There are many weight loss programs. They all just tell you what to eat and what not to eat. Mindfulness for Weight Management mixes meditation, breathing techniques, imagery and conscious eating into the dieter’s daily routine. According to Shari Solomon, “These techniques along with the education of healthy food choices allow my clients to no longer struggle with controlling their own weight.”
