Edelman India Appoints Chief Financial Officer

Naveen Agarwal has joined Edelman India as Director, Finance and HR, with effect from October 1, 2009.

Naveen Agarwal has joined Edelman India as Director, Finance and HR, with effect from October 1, 2009. A chartered accountant by training, Agarwal is a finance professional with more than 16 years experience, leading teams of accounting staff in the retail, media and service industries. He has worked on various financing structures and been a member of many cross-functional teams, providing the financial perspective to achieve business results. “Naveen brings just the experience we need to manage our aggressive growth strategy in India”, said Robert Holdheim, Edelman MD and Country Manager. “Naveen’s financial skills and strategic insight will be tremendous assets as we continue to add new clients and staff at a rapid pace.” Agarwal joins Edelman from Nirulas where he was Chief Financial Officer and Director on the Board. He started his career with International Travel House Ltd., an ITC Group company, and worked with McDonald’s India, the Times of India Group’s Entertainment Division and the Samar Group in the Middle-East before he joined Nirulas in 2007. He will be based in Edelman’s Gurgaon office.
