A one box TIG welder solution has arrived at R-Tech Welding Equipment Ltd.

The new high specification TIG161 160 Amp ACDC TIG welder is aimed at the domestic/light industrial user and runs from a standard single phase 240v supply. Suitable for welding all types of steels and alloys.

For many years the art of TIG welding has remained the preserve of the few for many different reasons. High cost, lack of features and complicated set-up and continuity issues have always been a stigma of the TIG welder. These issues have been largely resolved thanks to the new TIG161 from R-Tech. Now featuring pulse welding technology in both AC and DC modes it allows for far greater control of heat into the weld pool which will result in less heat deformation when compared to lesser featured TIG welders. It’s a similar story with the adjustable squarewave frequency (up to 250Hz) feature – less deformation, quicker travel speed etc.. One of the most solid and robust features of the R-Tech TIG161 is the use of German manufactured Infineon Power Modules (IGBT). The TIG161 houses two of these ultra reliable powerhouse modules under its compact and robust case. Thanks to these inverter modules the physical size of the TIG161 is vastly reduced when compared to older technology welders. The TIG161 features a high 35% duty cycle and an carries an input fuse rating of 13 Amps. With a ‘one box’ solution R-Tech Welding Equipment provide everything you need to start quality TIG welding. All you need is to add a bottle of pure argon gas, a 240v electricity supply and a quantity of filler rods, which R-Tech are also happy to supply. Thanks to the many benefits of the TIG 161 I know that many fabricators and welders will be eager to test drive one of these machines to experience the benefits it has to offer. With a comprehensive one year in-house warranty and technical support R-Tech Welding Equipment are rapidly establishing themselves as a quality welding equipment brand. I also have to say that I find it very sad that more career counselors do not attempt to inform graduating students about more trade skills that they might pursue. It would have been very beneficial to know these things as a teenager because I think that I would have taken up Sub-Arc welding and had a great money making career and satisfying as well. I am and a pipe welder and pipe fitter for an ethanol facility at this time but am not happy with where I am in my welding career, I want to take it much farther than just stuck in some dead-end job with the skills that I possess and have worked so hard to achieve. I would like to start my own business ASAP but start-up cost at what I earn now would be almost impossible. I would also like to ask them if there is a book that I can order or check out from a library to study for the CWI test.VA:F [1.9.15_1155](from 0 votes)Pros: useful secrets exposed Cons: noneWould you recommend it to a friend? yes
