Paradise Ashby joins Cinema City International Film Festival Mentorship Program

As the Cinema City International Film Festival approaches its September 10th kick off, co-founder and mentorship coordinator Suzanne DeLaurentiis continues to prepare young actors and filmmakers for careers in the industry.

Ever since she was a toddler, Paradise Ashby has found joy in entertaining both at home and for audiences, bursting into song and quoting dialogue from her favorite movies with impeccable timing and delivery. Paradise officially began her acting career at age 6, performing in an array local stage productions including Cats, Oliver Twist, Lion King, and Mary Poppins.  An honor student and student council president, Paradise was valedictorian at her 2009 elementary school graduation.  That same year, she won the prestigious title "Miss Pre-Teen Los Angeles," where she was awarded for the highest marks for interviews, poise, demeanor, and public speaking skills. As Miss Pre-Teen Los Angeles, Paradise has had many new opportunities including walking the red carpet with Disney and Nickelodeon stars.  However Paradise greatest honor to date has been interviewing President Barack Obama at the Orange County Town Hall Meeting. Paradise is an avid singer/song writer, and author of a poetry collection entitled "Simply Paradise," illustrated by her sister Heaven.  Paradise's ambition in life is to speak for those without a voice, and to use her talents and abilities as a vehicle for bringing the world together.
