The following story is based on a real fact which took place in the 840 A. D. when three men and a woman were accused to had "falled from the sky" from a flying ship.

Many strange things happened in Europe during the Middle Ages. One of them took place in France, in a town called Lyon. One day, in the year 840 AD, an irrationnal terror pervades the streets. Three men and a woman were seen to "fall from the sky" from a flyng ship. The bishop Agobard had an sudden idea to stop the riot and the burn at a stake. The whole story is based on a very real fact, reported by the bishop Agobard in his writtings.
